I cannot put into words how much fun this elopement was, but I will try! April in Montana produced about 4 feet of snow a few days before we arrived! What more could you want – snowy mountain photos are beautiful! Except for finding somewhere to stand without sinking in that 4 feet of snow was definitely a challenge especially since it was warming up and starting to melt a little. The roads seemed to be the only option but they were so muddy! These two were troopers and adventured to several spots to give it a go! We only sunk a few times, but oh my the laughs that we had together!
Most of the time I only offer photo OR video for weddings – BUT- for elopements or destination weddings I do give you the option for both and my husband is my favorite teammate! We love to travel together and he agrees to shoot destination weddings with me! I taught him everything I know and he impresses me every single time! So please reach out if you’re going somewhere cool! We’d love to come along and document all the things with you!
Recap:
- Anaconda, Montana
- April
- 4 feet of snow
- sunk in snow and laughed our booties off “think light thoughts” Added the whole series of events at the bottom! haha
- had the prettiest views
- stood on a frozen lake
- changed the wedding timeline by several hours on a dinner napkin the night before for best temps. I love how elopements can be so flexible with smaller wedding guest lists
I will never forget this trip and feel like we made life long friends from it! See the beautiful wedding film here!
Some things me and my husband did while in Montana : We added on a few days to our trip and had so much fun exploring the state. We hit several hot springs/natural springs and got in even when temps were in the 30s! We went thrift shopping and went to a college rodeo. We ate tons of yummy food, loaded up on huckleberry everything, bought a cowboy hat, and hit Yellowstone national park! It was so much fun and I cannot wait to go back!
